Science Oxford will be hosting a number of scintillating hands on Science activities for a special day at Oxford Castle. 'Sir William Herschel: inventor of fingerprinting' 10.00am - 11:30 am, talk in the Key Learning Centre: Local historian Ann Spokes Symonds explores the life and work of this inventor and philanthropist who lived in Littlemore. Gaol House Rocks! 5.00 - 7.00pm, Oxford Castle - Unlocked invite you to an after hours party to explore the impressive Georgian Prison Wing while enjoying a rock'n'roll band - and visit the creepy historic crypt to a more classical sound. Sunday 12th SeptemberDaytime activities 11.00am - 4.00pmA selection of vintage Morris Motors vehicles on display in the castleyard (outside Oxford Castle Unlocked), celebrating the city's connection with the car industry.Family activities including children's workshops and outdoor games. 'In the footsteps of Anthony à Wood with Pegasus Primary School' 10.00 - 11.30 am; forget Samuel Pepys, come and discover Oxford's own 17th Century diarist Anthony a Wood. In this walk around the city centre you will visit scenes from his life and stories with the children of Pegasus Primary School. Meet outside the Key Learning Centre, Oxford Castle Unlocked.
